Mary Jo Kilroy has a long and distinguished career as a dedicated public servant for Central Ohio.  As a public school parent, Mary Jo first ran for public office in 1991, winning 2 terms on the Columbus Board of Education.  In 2000, Kilroy was elected to the Franklin County Board of Commissioners where she continues to promote fiscal responsibility, economic development and quality health care.

 

Under Kilroy’s tenure as Board of Commissioners President, Franklin County was ranked as one of the 5 best-managed counties in the country by Governing Magazine and earned a “AAA” bond rating, the highest possible and a testament to the County’s well-managed fiscal affairs.
